Sharing Fire is a YouTube channel exploring philosophy, mythology, literature, and culture through thoughtful video essays. Inspired by the story of Prometheus, the brand treats knowledge and its accessibility as a form of liberation. The identity balances ancient symbolism with a contemporary, cinematic aesthetic, creating a visual language that feels at home discussing both modern and ancient things; timeless ideas from Greek myth, modern psychology, and great literature.

01 — Logo design

The logo combines two symbols: a flaming torch and a hand. Instead of danger or destruction, the flame represents insight, curiosity and agency. The hand reinforces the channel's central philosophy: knowledge has to be personally held and gains value when it's shared with others, wielded honorably, and personally championed. The typography pairs sharp, monumental forms with clean modern spacing, giving the mark an academic but exciting feel. The result is a symbol that feels both mythic and modern.

02 — Color and visual language

Instead of the familiar reds and oranges associated with fire, the identity centers on blue. The unexpected palette reframes fire as illumination rather than combustion. Blue suggests clarity, wonder, and discovery while distinguishing the brand from conventional imagery. Throughout the system, soft gradients, motion blur, and layered flame motifs create an atmosphere that feels mysterious, reflective, and cinematic. Together these elements support the channel's focus on thoughtful storytelling and wonder.

03 — Brand applications

The visual system extends beyond the logo. The YouTube banner, profile icons, and social assets reinforce the same calm but exciting, intelligent, and inviting atmosphere. The repeated flame motifs create a recognizable signature.

04 — Process

The logo design evolved from exploring symbols connected to fire and knowledge that communicate the Prometheus theme. Early concepts experimented with flames, chat bubbles, honorable thief symbols (based on the early name "stealing fire"), fire as currency, and monograms before gradually converging on a simpler mark centered around the academic torch and hand. The final system reflects weeks of iteration followed by revision, refining both the symbolism and the visual language into a more cohesive brand.
